Bio
Wade Baker received his Undergraduate Degree (B.S. with a concentration in Jazz Studies) from the University of Indianapolis in 2006 and is one semester short of attaining his Master's Degree from C.C.M. in Jazz Trumpet (M.M. Jazz Studies). Baker's versatility makes him fit comfortably playing with many different types of artists in many different styles. He has played Bass Guitar at several of the country's leading blues festivals (International Blues Challenge, Bean Blossom Blues Festival and Cincinnati Blues Festival) in addition to the many Jazz Festivals he has been a part of playing his trumpet.

The Wade Baker Jazz Collaboration was awarded the Cincinnati Artist of the Month for April 2009 @ www.cincygroove.com
Wade played Bass Guitar and Trumpet on Jon Justice's Sophomore release, THE REBOUND, which climbed to #8 on the Blues and Roots Music Charts where it stayed for more than 12 weeks.
While playing with Jon Justice, Wade was nominated for 4 Cincinnati Entertainment Awards - "Best Blues (twice)", "Best Live Act" and "Best New Artist"
Track "Brighter Day" (The Rebound: Jon Justice, Wade Baker on Bass Guitar and trumpet) was released on a compilation produced by Bootsy Collins called "Fallen Soldiers". The proceeds will go to build a Fallen Soldiers Memorial. Other artists on the compilation were Charlie Daniels, Bootsy Collins, George Duke and many more.
In August of 2007 Wade shot a cameo in Bootsy Collins' (Parliament Funk, George Clinton, James Brown) video for the song "BENGAL ROCK".
As a member of the Jon Justice Band, Wade won the Cincinnati Blues Challenge and represented the Queen City at the 2008 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.
