“MIKE DAVENPORT FROM THE ATARIS, VOCALIST DONALD SPENCE, AND CHRIS FLIPPIN FROM LAGWAGON ARE IN THE STUDIO WITH PRODUCER THOM FLOWERS RECORDING WHAT LOOKS TO BE AN EXCELLENT RELEASE FROM ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED PUNK ROCK BANDS IN HISTORY, VERSUS THE WORLD.”
“Versus the World is currently in the studio at work on their second full-length. The group is recording in Santa Barbara, CA with producer Thom Flowers (Bad Astronaut, The Ataris, Mad Caddies) with plans for a summer release. The band notably includes Lagwagon guitarist Chris Flippin and former Ataris bassist Mike Davenport.”
“Santa Barbara punks Versus The World (featuring Chris Flippin of Lagwagon and Mike Davenport from the Ataris) are in the studio nearing completion of a brand-spankin’ new album. The only other info we have at this point is a post from earlier today via the band’s facebook page, in which they state: “HUGE news coming soon, big things are about to happen around here…….” As always, we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear anything.”

“Pulley has announced two dates in December supporting Orange County legends, Social Distortion. The seldom seen band, who released Matters last year, have only had four shows in all of 2005. Vocalist Scott Radinsky keeps busy through the year as both a pitching coach and running Skatelab in Simi Valley, California. Conversely, Social Distortion have been performing seemingly non-stop since the release of Sex, Love and Rock'n'Roll in 2004. The band has added another block of dates with multiple dates per city in California which will take them through the end of the year and through all of January. A variety of acts will support the long-running band including The Briefs, Danko Jones, The Vacancies, TheStart, Versus the World and many others.”
