“This incredible set sizzles & sparkles! The opening track "In a Box" is a great jazz piece with Deborah Yates' flute giving the essential flavor to the band, updated from Paul Horn's or Tim Weisberg's jazz/pop crossover albums from the 70s. The Tribe does a super job on Burt Bacharach's "Look of Love," with enough of that stunning melody filtering through with Arabic rhythms to create a magnificent track. My favorite may be "No Ordinary Love" which burns the speakers for six minutes with a short spoken spiritual interlude about two-thirds through the track. Lalo Schifrin's "Mission Impossible" also stands out. This is a superb release! Bravo!

Got to Auckland and Jon and Deborah are busy with media; distribution and other activities. Luckily were able to attend the Auckland Museum which was fascinating. Sunday night had the great chance to jam with local muso's at the Flo Bar, including NZ's number one session singer. She was off-the-hook (great pitch!!). Thanks to Edgar San Gabrial ...
