Sound of Excellence is a new and innovative music industry showcase and platform for unsigned and original artists. The aim of the platform is to provide artists with an opportunity to perform in front of A&R from both major and indie labels. S.O.E have been showcasing some of London's finest unsigned bands since June 2009. 27th July 2010. The Line-up includes, I Haunt Wizards, Fly Frankie Fly, Danny Shah + Guests SOUND OF EXCELLENCE The showcase is presented by independent label Excellence Records who are looking to sign new acts to their artist roster in 2010. In 2007/8 CEO Samantha Crompton co- presented alongside Mike Mendoza on national commercial radio Talksport, plugging unsigned acts subsequently landing many of the acts recording contracts with major labels artists such as Electro Vamp &Tiffany Page landed deals with Island Records and Mercury after receiving extensive radio airplay on the unsigned show. Celebrities such as former Steps Singer Lee Latchford-Evans became a regular guest on the show promoting his new band "The Latch". Folk singer songwriter Ellie Lawson had her tracks featured as the OST on various feature films including Monster in Law, starring Jennifer Lopez and Do Elephants Pray? Feature film, about rebirth starring Green Street Actor Marc Warren. Danny's older brother Robert (Hip Parade) taught him his first chords when he was 7 years old and played his first gig in France and sang" A Thousand Tree's" by Stereophonics on an acoustic guitar he had borrowed from a man in his 40's who he tried teaching "Wonderwall" to. Since then Danny has taught himself instruments such as Piano, Drums, Bass, Guitar and he particularly enjoys writing songs every chance he can get..!
