We picked up instruments and hoped for the best, we record and practice in moolah rouge studio's in Stockport, we've supported nine black alps at urbis, played the ritz in manchester...sticky floors, supported stricken city in camden and got very drunk along the way.
We've been played on bbc 6 music introducing and lots of random community radio stations and local stations like pure fm and all fm. Xfm dj Clint boon thinks we're alright and yeah that's basically what's happened over the past few months.....with the emphasis on being very drunk along the way

Formed early in 2008 within 3 weeks of being together we had our first gig, we then progressed on to do a mini-tour of the UK playing many majoy cities in England including London and Sheffield. Our first E.P "Silence" has tracks such as Lily, Colours and The English Way on it. So far we've played gigs in the following places: Stockport, Manchester, Sheffield, Stalybridge, Southport, Oldham and London. We are a bright young talented bunch that write songs about near enough anything, weather it be pregnant teens, Drunken nights or the indie boy classic 'girls and love'. onstage we put a shedload of effort into our performance, so why not get down to a show and see for yourselves?...We are Violet Youth
