““This group has been simmering for a while,’’ Miron said. “I feel it’s the right time to take some further steps. We’re trying to make it fairly accessible to a wide variety of people. Our music is eclectic. We haven’t settled on a word to describe it. It’s melodic and groove-based improvisation.” Members of the trio, which includes Cameron Hicks on drums and Daniel Weidlein on saxophone, all have a jazz background, but Miron said they’re infusing other genres, including rock, bluegrass, and even hip-hop into the mix. “We really feel that with the talents we have, we’ve creating something new,” Hicks said.”
