"VIEW FROM EVEREST" is a modern pop rock band hailing from the Rock-n-Roll capital - Cleveland, Ohio. The band's broad crossover appeal is lead by the infectious crooning of Chad Armstrong, clever song writing, and musical prowess. "VIEW FROM EVEREST" came together when Chad, guitarist Jimmy Maler and Bassist Paul Lewis formed the group in 2004 after the musicians were introduced by mutual friend Kevin Raleigh of the Michael Stanley Band. They soon started writing original material with Maler penning the music and Armstrong writing the lyrics & melodies. The band found they had very similar musical tastes & influences ranging from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, U2, Tom Petty and Radiohead. Prior to VFE Chad was the Singer for The Zachery Walker Band, Jimmy the Singer/guitar player for Dizzy Park & Paul played with Supercream and Anne E. DeChant. "VIEW FROM EVEREST" released an independent CD titled "SWIM" in early 2005 and has sold over 4,500 copies "VIEW FROM EVEREST" recorded an 8 song ep with producer Mike Szuter (magna-fi) in the fall of 2005. The EP has been released in February 2006 - Featuring the single "Drive". The band recently finished recording their first full length CD titled "Live & Learn" produced by Brian Patrick (Sinomatic, Cherry Monroe, Between Home & Serenity) & Mixed by Eric Sarafin (Hillary Duff, Ben Harper, Lifehouse) The record is scheduled for a fall 2006 release. Cover art by Derek Hess. "VIEW FROM EVEREST" has been establishing a solid fan base thru live performance, college radio and internet marketing. The band plays regularly in Cleveland and through out the northeast region from New York to Detroit and has be gaining local and national acclaim.
