Verre grew out of the long-term collaboration between John Greene and Christopher G. Brown. This collaboration first bore fruit with the band Pyotr. Pyotr slowly shed members until the trio of John, Christopher and multi-instrumentalist Abram Taber were left. The band continued to develop some of the Pyotr material, drastically changing previous songs to fit the new pared down format. Verre is currently collecting these and newer songs into an EP to be released in the fall of 2009.
