21 Weeks St, Weirs Beach, NH, US
Bio: Music at Weirs Beach has had a very, very long tradition, and the Winnipesaukee Marketplace has been carrying the flame since 1992. Every summer, in July & August, a regular schedule of concerts are held. On Wednesday nights, you can hear the Lakes Region Chordsmen perform. For over 50 years (since 1954!), they have been singing the old-time Barbershoppers favorites in Weirs Beach. On Sunday nights, for over 20 years, the Boardwalk Jazz Quartet has been playing jazz standards from the 1930′s through the 1970′s. On Saturday nights, the Marketplace rocks out with bands playing a wide variety of rock styles. The Winnipesaukee Marketplace is a hot spot for music during the annual Laconia Motorcycle Week, also known as bike week, when four bands play each day on two different stages. During that time the venue takes on a new persona when it is known as "Party Central". The two stages, one at the Patio Garden Restaurant, and one at the Stageview Grill, allow the venue to stagger the set times of bands, so there is always at least one band playing.
