The Local 269, a premier music venue in the East Village / Lower East Side of New York City, is actively seeking musicians and performance artists for immediate openings for Mondays thru Sundays.  Set lengths will be 30-60 minutes. We ask artists to be able to draw a minimum of 10 people and 25 people will guarantee good future slots. We understand no one wants to play to a dead room and we do have a good healthy amount of regulars/locals who will hang for quality music but ultimatly an artist that can draw a certain amount people will be sure not play to a dead room.

All Artists are encourged to send us posters and press sheets we actively help promote the acts that play our venue

Genres accepted include: Rock, Alt. Rock, Acoustic Rock, Pop, Blues, Alt. Country and Reggae.

Selected artists will be compensated for their performances.
