Bio: Located in the heart of downtown Albany, NY, The Linda is a unique performing arts studio operated by WAMC Northeast Public Radio. As an arts venue, The Linda plays host to some of the best folk, blues, americana, and rock acts from WAMC's listening area, across the country, and from overseas. The Linda is also home to the monthly "Food For Thought" film series, presented in conjunction with the Honest Weight Food Co-op. As an evening of socially relevant cinema, Food For Thought presents some of the best documentary film being made today, covering topics as diverse as school lunches, climate change, corporate marketing toward children, and the privatization of the global water supply. As a studio operated by a public radio station, The Linda records and mixes for broadcast nearly every performance that takes place under its roof. It also is the home base of WAMC's Student Town Meetings, as well as the monthly live broadcast of Dancing On The Air - the long-running and immensely popular acoustic music show hosted by Jay Ungar and Molly Mason.
