Bio: The Chop Shop Booking Policy TYPICALLY We give the pay to our sound and door personnel off the top of an events door take. The event/band/show will then get 100% of the door money. We don't give out any portion of bar sales. We like events that are complete unless we are contacting you to put something together. Sound cost is $100 on weeknights and $150 on weekends Door person is usually $30-50 If your door take isn't enough to cover the door and sound pay, you will need to pay them out of your pocket. If this is the case, we had a bad night at the bar as well and lost money. We pay our bills and employees from bar sales, so remember, we are looking for a drinking crowd. Otherwise, we need to talk about renting the venue. WE up charge $3 for under 21 patrons and we keep this money to add to our sales since they don't purchase alcohol. We hold +/- 400 and have an outdoor area for overflow. It holds 200+ comfortably. You must do you own promo! We will help but it is not guaranteed! People rarely just walk in and pay to see an event they know nothing about! There may be exceptions to all of this depending on a number of factors, but this is our base starting point. If you don't think you can cover these expenses with your door, you may need to look at playing a smaller place in Charlotte to build a following.
