Bio: Rock The Mountain started as a camping trip with the addition of a live band. Question Authority had a self-built stage equipped with a generator. This provided the opportunity to have live musical performances anywhere that could be reached by truck. The stage was towed to the original destination - The Boiling Springs campground located some 20 miles north of Crouch, Idaho. The group was asked to leave before the power had even been turned on. Instead of asking the group to vacate the forest completely, Forest Ranger Francis White directed the music-hungry campers to the current location - a secluded area down the road, known as the 6-Mile Camp. The group of campers, which had shrunk significantly by now, worked their way into the new location and established camp in the area which has now become Tent City. The entire group was able to set up in this small area. That was in 1998. Question Authority passed the word on and returned the next year to do it again. By the third year, other groups had joined the lineup. Since that time, it has grown to an annual event which is enjoyed by many, many people. The continued success of Rock The Mountain is not a coincidence. It is due to a dedicated group of individuals who work closely with the local law enforcement as well as their fellow campers to ensure that the event is a success for all.
