About

NH'S #1 ALL AGES ORIGINAL MUSIC VENUE!

Unlike halls, bars, &  taverns, we are a 100% alcohol free , full time original music venue.

booking local , regional , & national acts from around the world , we have strived for nearly 14 years to make our venues the very best in New England.

including: large stages, great sound systems, and a clean positive atmosphere where people of all ages can interact and enjoy live entertainment ranging from acoustic singer songwriter evenings , to blistering metal mayhem mosh fests!!!.

we also strive to educate youth on topics of great importance, widely left out of the music scene, as they are looked upon as taboo or to intense to speak about.

we stand on the belief - " if you don't stand for something , you will fall for anything!".

we hope you enjoy your time spent online here at our site , even more so here at the venue itself in allenstown NH.

our doors open at 7 pm , shows start at 8 pm. weekends in the school year , and all through the week in the summer months.

if you or your band would like to perform your original music here , please email us at booking@groundZZZero.com

the new GROUND ZERO is the 6th. all ages live original music venue we've opened in NH since 1996

with a 4000 sq. ft. layout , GROUND ZERO is completely set up to host small to medium bands of many different genres.

GROUND ZERO is our only all ages venue still in operation , out of all six.

GROUND ZERO is funded out of pocket by its owners .
it is not affiliated with any Orgs., of any kind.

being funded out of pocket , makes it a bit hard for a strictly all ages ( no alcohol ) venue / teen center, to remain open for any extended amount of time.

we have been extremely blessed over the past 13 years , to have offered the youth of 4 different communities throughout NH, this positive music filled environment , which GROUND ZERO is today.

we take a bit of pride in the fact that we stay away from booking bands that promote negative things such as suicide , hate , violence , drug and alcohol abuse , etc....

we actually take quite a bit of time reading every single bands lyrics before they are even asked to perform at GROUND ZERO.

in this , GROUND ZERO is unique ,
if you want to write & promote negative themes in your music , there are a zillion places you can have a grand old time doing so , likewise if you enjoy listenting to that type of stuff , there is a great abundance of venues promoting and making a killing off of it , so you can find whatever it is you like all around.

but if you are indeed interested in listening & watching music , that at the very least, promotes some sort of positive influence in your life,
we hope that you will support us as we support the local music scene.

contrary to what some might conclude , GROUND ZERO is not a " christian music venue " , we book positive non christian bands , along side great christian bands all the time.
GROUND ZERO is a " neutral venue ", and that is exactly what we have always been .

you won't find bibles laid out everywhere , nor will you see any type of altar calls to the stage.
but what you will find are, a couple of caring people , who feel it is thier calling to provide a positive environment for the youth of our NH communities.

if you are not a christian , you will not feel out of place at GROUND ZERO that’s for sure , with all of the crazy graffiti on the walls , the extreme loud music, & our average age group between 12 - 20 , GROUND ZERO is quite the place to be in Suncook NH on any given weekend, we might even venture to say it is the only place to be if you are under age.

However if you are “a believer”, and you feel God leading you to hang out here to be an example of who Christ is in your life, by all means you are welcome here as well.

just don't come expecting GROUND ZERO to be some sort of christian cliche type of hangout , where only christian people interact , because it is quite the opposite.

over the years we have had such a vast # of incredibly talented artists through our doors , we would need a whole other website just to list the many great ORIGINAL bands we have had the pleasure of hosting.

we would like to give a huge thanks to all of the bands who have performed for us on many benefit shows to keep all of the venues in business throughout the years.
huge thanks Again to you all, and to all of your friends and fans , for being a huge part of our lives.

we began in 1996 with a 3 - 5 dollar cover charge to our local shows , and over the past 12 years have seen a drastic change in the music scene & economy,
unfortunately forcing us , to gradually increase our cover charge to 7 , then 8 , and now 10 per entry.
we are hoping to keep it at 10.00 for some time , and not have to ever raise it above that.

it is our opinion that 10.00 is not to much to ask , when it is all said and done and a ton of work has gone into booking numerous bands a night , every single weekend.
and in the summer while high school is out , booking over 150 original bands a month throughout entire weeks at a time.
sometimes paying out thousands of dollars , to some really great headlining bands.

some folks have a hard time dropping 10 bucks for a show , but we want you to know every single dime of the door money , goes right back into keeping the teen venues open, for you to come and hang out with your friends and see some of the areas great up & coming bands.

its hard to believe its almost 2010!!, we will continue to do what feel we are called to do Lord willing for years to come ! , and hope that we can be an influence on the youth of yet another NH community, and also help many more bands to strive hard to make it to the next level , to keep thier heads up , and achieve thier goals and dreams.

Positive music can be a wonderful thing , it brings people together and can make a huge impact on how we cope with day to day living.

once again thanks to all of you who have supported us in the past , please continue to support all ages venues in the future .

SEE WHAT GREAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY!!!!
HERE ARE A FEW LETTERS BELOW , FROM BANDS , AGENTS ,
PARENTS , AND GREAT KIDZ THAT WE LOVE.

I have thought about the whole idea and concept of Ground Zero.
From what I understand, money has been an issue with keeping Ground Zero alive.
URSA did have the chance to play there at the 1ST. Allenstown location,
and I think that you and your family are doing something absolutely great! .
It is obvious to me that the people who attend the shows there truly appreciate the venue,
and I personally think that it's fantastic that you guys are there to support the scene,
even despite the current financial rut that everyone is unfortunately stuck in.
I just wanted to give my utmost thanks to you and your family
for maintaining an AWESOME venue, and for keeping the local music scene alive!.
If there is ANYTHING I can do to help Ground Zero stay above water,
I would be glad to be a part of it! . I hope to see you soon on another date!

-Pat//URSA

Thank you so much Christian & Starr for having us on the grand opening show tonight.
We had an amazing time and I think that it was an awesome turnout.
I would also like to thank you very letting me be a huge part of getting Ground Zero back on its feet.
I feel so blessed to have been able to put my heart and sole into this amazing venue
which my band considers home. You two care about the New Hampshire music scene so much
and all I can say is thank God for you too. Because if it weren't for you two
we would have no reason to do what we do and strive to be the best band that we can be.
We have always considered Drifters/Ground Zero our home and we always will.
Thank you so much for everything you have done for us
and I can't wait to come back and play again.
_Dylan Charest___Silence In Shadows__

Words can not describe how greatful I personally am
for you allowing us to play at Ground Zero
because that has helped me discover something great in my life.
Without that, I would not have found music to be such a huge part of my life,
so I thank you again for that.
Christian, without your support, we would have still been a no-name band
practicing in an attic with the only fans to our credit being the ones down the street.
You have helped me discover a true passion for what I do.
Best Wishes,
Jake - THE CALL FOR MAYDAY.

Hey Christian,
we all wanted to thank you for another amazing show!!
We greatly appreciate everything you do and can't thank you enough
for always providing a venue for us to share our art with the kids
and always having a show for us when we are on tour!
Thank you for everything!!
We can't wait to get back up there already.
Eric & MayOrWest

We fully understand how hard it must be to keep
an alcohol/drug free place open - especially nowadays,
but we are in full support of what you guys are doing
and I love the environment Ground Zero is based around.
We will fill any spots you need filled ever. We also try to bring
as many people as possible, which for us is challenging
on the account that we are from northern NH , but we do our best.
So thank you very much for the show ,
and if you need help in the future do not hesitate to message us.
Once again thanks!
Chris - The Breathing Method

Good morning – I’d like to commend your efforts and say thank you. When my teenager approached me regarding going to "Club Drifters" to see a friend perform with his band I was, to say the least, a little weary. As a parent, I did my due diligence in researching the club and any feedback/articles I could locate online. After reading the article in The Nashua Telegraph it gave me some comfort knowing that the kids will attend an environment that is “child proof” but will still encompass the “club experience”. Respect your efforts and appreciate your concerns for teenagers, -MZR

Hey Christian!
I know Vallon is a relatively new friend
to the Ground Zero family,
but I just wanted to let you know that our scene,
and music in general needs people like you and your wife.
Every person who has ever played at Drifters or Ground Zero
should feel privelaged to have been a part of something so great.
Those are the only two venues of yours, we've ever played,
but I'm sure the rest were great as well :-)

- The Vallon Dudes

really christian , we cannot thank you enough for letting us play at drifters,
we would NOT have the following we have today if it wasn't for drifters,
and i just want to say thanks for getting us on shows there,
like the chiodos show , that was one of the best shows ever! .
i cant wait to play the new drifters!, thanks.
trevor - OUR LAST NIGHT.

Hey guys, This is Josh's friend TJ. I just wanted to let you guys know how much fun I've had in the little amount of time I've been able to experience Drifters. Drifters has always had a great atmosphere, and you always seem to have the best kids in there. There was not one time I went where I didnt leave smiling or unable to say I enjoyed myself. I also appreciate how much you guys really care about the bands and the kids. You guys are awesome, and I just wanted to get it out there before everyone else does and youre swamped with it - but i love Drifters, and you guys are truly amazing. And no matter what happens in the coming months I wish you all the best. TJ

thank you so much. i'll be back up in a year. drifters has always treated me well. i pray and hope very much to play there when i return to new england. thanks so much. -taylor

Since I've started dealing with you, I consider working with you before working with any other venue in the new england area. I always come to you first because I respect and support what you do. If there's anything I can do to help you guys out with your current problems , Just let me know. Jim Wilbourne Red Rover Records & Booking

Hey Christian, It was very nice seeing you again. Thanks for inviting me to play, i had a great time. I hope everything works out well with you because you guys have a great thing going for teens. More power to you and let me know if there is something I can do to help. I hope all is well for you guys love, d - MY LAST FLIGHT.

That's awesome. I've been working hard to market and promote this show and just hope to get as many people there as I possibly can. It will be good for those who haven't been to Drifter's before to come out for the show and might get them to come back for more shows. Because you guys make so many sacrifices to keep Drifter's going you deserve to continue to build your number of followers and keep this place going. New England needs you. EASTERN SKY BAND PROMOTION TEAM.

Hey Christian, I just wanted to send you a thank you for allowing us to play at your venue last Saturday. It really meant a lot to us and we are really grateful for people like yourself for letting bands get out there and play. We had a lot of fun and would love to play your venue again. If you ever need any bands to ever play or anything else just let us know. Thank You very much, Andrew and Far From Distant

In all honesty, even though we don't share the same ideas we truly respect your beliefs and even more respect what you are doing for the local music community. Your giving us bands a home and a place to remember. I really hope we can play at your club again because it's an awesome place and we had a lot of fun. -Ilya(ABC)

as for bands that change you, i am a strong believer that bands do have that power..... this past year was so hard, but certain bands lyrics and beliefs pretty much saved me. I want to hear some of these bands your talking about too... see you soon -Matt A.T.T.W.N.

my final project for computers was on your club and i hope you like it , MARISSA
OH SHE GOT AN A, BY THE WAY!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for having us, we thought it was great. Thank you for the kind words on the new lineup, it was definitely the confidence boost that we needed to get this new bit moving. I'm glad you dig the shirts, we're big fans of the designs as well! Thanks again for everything and please keep us posted with the new space. Good luck with everything! AJ - THE MINUS SCALE

Hey guys, This email isn't about booking a band, nor unfortunately is it about donating any money (though I wish it could be), I just wanted to let you guys know that I think it's great what you're doing. My boyfriends band is with you guys today (Quick To Surrender) I was looking at the places he'll be playing and I think the venue you set up there sounds great. I also love the way you guys presented yourself in your 'About Us'. Currently our youth group, here in CT, is trying to double as a venue. We had a crazy show last night, and I don't know if we'll be able to find a balance between getting kids to come out and keeping some moral values intact. It seems that though you are not a youth group you've been able to achieve that. If you get a chance to reply to this with some advice it would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, I just wanted to let you guys know I think what you're doing is great, and whether you feel it or not, I'm positive your light is shining. My prayers are with you. Meredith Woods

Dude I'm so happy that you have this support, I was so glad to get your voicemail , and I shared it with the guys. All of us have the utmost respect for you and what you do. Keep on doing it please for as long as you can. Patrick Bosse / THE JONAH VEIL.
