Bio: Crystal Mountain Continues to Shine New Spotlight on Local Music Revamped Vista Lounge to Host Even More Live Music This Winter 2013-2014 THOMPSONVILLE, MICH – Last winter, Crystal Mountain’s Vista Lounge put a new focus on high quality, live entertainment with a brand new sound system, new lighting and a new look. We hope to continue the trend with an even bigger line-up this year. Amy Herrst, the supervisor of Crystal’s Vista Lounge, says, “We’re working hard to develop the Vista into a premier venue for the growing number of really top notch northern Michigan musicians.” Crystal has installed a brand new sound system in the Vista Lounge, working with Sonic Bloom Recording in Traverse City. Guy Hursh from Sonic Bloom gave his seal of approval for the new system and word has quickly spread through the local music scene.“We’re all really excited to have, what I truly believe will soon be known as, one of the best spots around for live music – for the audience and for the performers,” said Kristin Kiteley, Food and Beverage Director at Crystal Mountain. Last winter’s lineup included some of the brightest stars in northern Michigan: Levi Britton, Blake Elliot and The Robinson Affair, Jimmy Olson, Jason and Nick, Ron Getz and Mike Moran, G-Snacks, Chris Sterr and Johnny Tornga. Be sure to check out the soon to be line-up for this 2013-2014 winter. It will deliver a quaility music experience with all the fun of winter in the Vista Lounge at Crystal Mountain. Established in 1956, Crystal Mountain is a family-owned, four-season resort with one of Golf Magazine’s Top 25 Golf Schools in America, Spa Magazine’s Best Midwest Spas three years running, named among the inaugural Detroit Free Press 16 Green Leaders in Michigan and recognized as one of Condé Nast Travelers 50 Best Places to Ski and Stay in North America (2011) .
