Bio: Hay Skunkers! Here’s what’s we’ve got planned for Spring 2011. On April 2, we think it’s time for a swinging Cajun dance party the likes of which won’t quite fit the Skunk Farm stage and boneless chicken dance floor. So we are holding this Spring’s event at the Handlebar in Greenville, SC. We’ll be bringing in the Caleb Klauder Country Band all the way from Portland, Oregon. They’ll be playing their own classic Western Country music, and also backing Louisiana talents Joel Savoy and Jesse Lége. Savoy is a talented young fiddler and producer from Eunice, Louisiana, co-founder of the Red Stick Ramblers and a regular member of the Savoy Family Band. Accordionist Jesse Lége has been performing for more than 40 years and was inducted into the Cajun music Hall of Fame in 1998. Getting all of these performers together here will be a rare treat for Greenville - a Cajun set, a Country set, and a Cajun Honky Tonk finish! We expect to return to a full fledged Spring festival at the Skunk Farm in 2012 and OF COURSE the festival in October 2011, but we thought a chance at a Cajun dance party was too much fun to pass up. The 2011 Albino Skunk MUSIC Festival is October 7-8, at Glynn and Susan Zeigler's Skunk Farm, just north of Greer, SC. Daily tickets, full festival tickets available. Camping available Friday and Saturday nights.
