Star Songwriter's Night at Eighth & Rail takes place tonce a month. Usually the first Tue or Wed. Eighth & Rail is Auburn/Opelika's premier intimate singer showcase venue.

Hosted by Canadian duo Martha's Trouble, (http://www.marthastrouble.com), this new “songwriter in the round” concert series will provide an excellent opportunity for up-and-coming songwriters to experience the "songwriter circle" format, try out new material, and share the stage with established songwriters. Star Songwriter Series is a perfect stop for touring artist. Located 1 1/2 hours from Atlanta off I-85 and 2 1/2 hours from Birmingham off Hwy 280.

Featuring 2-3 songwriters each month, the series has an intimate atmosphere complete with great songs, amazing desserts & top-notch wine. Selected artists will be compensated based on door proceeds.

Applications for this series will be accepted exclusively though Sonicbids. Genres accepted include: folk, pop, rock, blues, country, and of course, singer-songwriter. All material must be original and performed by the songwriter(s) on either guitar or piano. First-time Sonicbids users are eligible for discounts.
