Bio: The original structure that stood here was called the Opera House and was built in 1880 by Mr. M.A. Nevin. The Opera House was the principal center for entertainment ranging from Dresden, Boston, and New York symphonies to local productions. The Opera House was destroyed by fire in the early morning hours of Dec. 31, 1919. The building was re-built in 1920 by Ike May and still today is called the May Building. The locals have talked about the Super D that was here for many years. Super D was open during the 60′s through the 80′s and was owned by a man named Paul Frambro. Before then it was Allen’s 5 and 10 Store in the 50′s. You can see the pic here of the old Super D store and some of you may have great memories pop up from years past visiting here. The Brewhouse Music & Grill officially opened its doors on September 15th, 2012 and is honored to be in such a historic building in downtown Rome. As you can see above the original intent for this property in the 1800s was to hold music and events. We are excited that this building is once again the principal center for music and entertainment where it belongs on Broad Street. We have been very fortunate to bring some of the biggest names in music since opening. Whether you are enjoying dinner with your family, watching your favorite team on the tvs, or listening to your favorite band here on stage, we hope you enjoy the laid back atmosphere, great food, and live music! Thank you for visiting and we hope to see you again soon!
