“Over the past couple of years, KOREY LIVY has experienced what it’s like to be a high flyer in two very different ways.
He’s appeared on national TV as one of the Top 24 on Australian Idol, and he’s flown around Australia as part of the Fly Away To Heaven fundraising initiative to help kids in East Timor.
Both journeys were amazing in their own way, and Korey says he wouldn’t have swapped either of them for anything. But it’s his most recent journey flying around Australia in a tiny single-engine aircraft built by his local parish priest that’s left the biggest mark on him.
“I got a call a couple of years ago asking me to record a song for the Fly Away To Heaven project. “I got together with a couple of songwriting mates, Roger Corbett and Vanessa Selwyn, and we wrote a song called Earth Angels Care, which we then recorded in Roger’s Valley Studio and produced as a single.”
The song is an inspiring, uplifting and beautifully crafted ballad....”
