Ultra Vires formed in 2003 in Santa Monica Ca. With Evan Magness as lead vocals and lead guitar. Ultra vires played a few shows in and around the hollywood area. But with little success. Shortly after, the band dis-membered and Evan went on to write songs and record his own music. In early 2005 Evan was introduced to Drummer Brent Haner of Huntington Beach Ca. Evan knew this was a match made in Music heaven. The two have since been working on and off to create an amazing layered sound that is influenced by great bands such as Tool, A perfect circle, Dark new Day, Sevendust, and Avenged Sevenfold. The band is currently putting together a demo, and should be touring in the new year. Keep your eye out for them, you don't want to miss out on this band.
