Ty Showers (born November 10, 1960) currently serves as an Application Architect, but in his spare time composes jazz, rock, electronic chill and r&b. Ty plays keyboards, guitar and bass.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, he began to play r&b on the guitar by ear at the age of 12. His attraction to jazz was propelled by Jean Luc Ponty and Chick Corea's music. He then began to play keyboards at the age of 16 for his own band "Marcedes" and with legendary Drifters.

Recently asked about all the music he's created throughout the years that only Ty Showers’ immediate family has heard was asked why not share the music, and until then, he had never really thought about it. This led him to create a discography to share with the world in hopes that an appreciation for his passion for music will be felt.

His son and a friend, asked how he would categorize the music because his music doesn’t really fit into one category because he is influenced by all music.

Perhaps, a new category will develop as a result of sharing. Hopefully, you’ll like what you hear, and let him know if you have a favorite.

Ty Showers’ personal vault contains enough music to distribute a new release every month for the next 12 years, so that’s his plan - stay tuned.
