About

Ty Nemecek, perhaps one of the most illusive artists to come into the Asheville music scene. This page is a collective effort by several indie, folk, and roots enthusiasts who have attempted to compile what little known informatian there is On Ty Nemecek (aka One Man Rodeo) and further more, to proliferate the rare (and sometimes costly) recordings of this "shadow musician." Very little is known about Ty Nemecek except that he is prone to shifting locations on a regular basis. What information we do have is a messy array of personal testimony by many who say the have known or met him. Because it is often hard to separate speculation from fact, and exageration from enamory, we leave it up to the reader to interperate the facts. However, the solid facts are these: Ty has influenced many musicians in the past half decade. New recordings are occasionaly surfacing, but their authenticity is difficult to verify. We have police records indicating an offical arrest by the APD in the fall of '08 of Ty, but did not find any evidence of a conviction (but we know he must have been in Asheville at that time). The Last known sighting of Ty was at the White Horse Black Mountain on 8/31/'09 where he gave a suprise performance, opening for the legendary Now You See Them. Please contact this site if you have any additional info on Ty Nemecek. May his music live on...
