Ty's style in music is somewhat comedic story telling and clever rhyme schemes that is a reflection of his Dirty South roots, blended with an excellent delivery of flow & presence. His style can also transform by spitting with a more intense, rugged battle style format similar to lyricists and hardcore crunk rap artists of the mid 90s. The combination of the two totally different styles is what inspired his stage name, Ty Durden.
Short for Tyler Durden, the main character in the hit movie "Fight Club", where the character finds that two different people both dwell within him, absent of his knowledge. Also, Ty's passion for conflict and confrontation from time to time, plays a major factor in the decision to create this persona. This artist has successfully bridged the gap between commercial radio and hip hop with songs that are a combination of an industry sound with the presence & lyrics that are similar to the battle format of hip hop of the mid 90's.
Raised in Augusta, GA, this artist has fought his way to the top, refusing to back from any obstacle or hinderance. Always viewed as the "underdog" due to his low profile and humble nature of the artist and his music, he always felt that he never receives the recognition that was due to him.
Despite criticism & scrutiny, he has continued for well over 15 years to achieve his highly sought after place in the spotlight. He has appeared on various mixtapes, albums, and singles from artists worldwide.
His debut album, "T.O.M.A.- Welcome 2 Fight Club" will be released December 2008 which will feature his hot singles "Fightin Witcha All Nite (Red Bull / Tequila)" , "Get Yaself N Da Club", "Rev Me Up" , "Worthless", "Creep Mission", "Ride Out Tonite" , "Moshpit", and "I'm Outside".
