Q: Hi there Tris, Your songs are amazing, and I really love your lyrics. I was wondering if all of your song lyrics autobiographical? ~Carolyn~
A: Hi Carolyn, Thank you! I'm really glad you're loving the lyrics. My songs aren't always autobiographical. Some most definitely are, but alot of times I write about things completely unrelated to me. I also do what I call a "flip". That's when I take something I've experienced with someone else and flip the point of view so that the lyrics are coming from the other person... what I feel they may be thinking or feeling on their side of things. Sometimes I'll write something in the third person. It really does vary with how I'm feeling at the time when I'm writing. Thanks again for the great question
