“Local blues stalwart Tony Holiday’s upcoming seven-song album, Good Clean Dirt, is about two things: the South and the harmonica. Holiday has bagged plenty of time in Tennessee and North Carolina, so it’s no surprise that the region’s humid stylings made it into songs like “Swamp Stomp” and “Georgia Anne.” The guitarist has also been cutting his chops on the harp— spotlighted on “Happy Harp,” “Wheeler’s Blues” and “Do You Want Lovin’?” Virtuoso Eric McFadden—who added guest licks to the first single, “Weep and Moan”—is also on bill tonight. ”

Q: Missed you at Yellow Pine. What happened?

A: Aaah we missed you more...i was looking forward to this gig more than anything, its a really long story but i had bass player and drummer drop out on me, then i got pres. of School of Rock Dick Earl to come with me and his van broke down, then i put together a three piece, we were all ready to go and our van broke down and we couldnt get it back working again. so sad!! my sweet gal took me out and had a special weekend cause she knew how heartbroken i was and on behalf of the shaker mic folks we wanted to come show you the cool mics i had planned to promote!! please get a hold of me when yall can and thank you so much
