Bio
Tommie Brewster is a classical pianist first, then a songwriter and singer, arranging and producing her own music.
Music is a tyrant and a lover as all creative musicians will know and I work hard to get the best possible sounds without tweaks, loops, samples - just music from my heart and soul
I don't copy, replicate, immitate or emulate - I am just Tommie doing music in my own way. Thanks for visiting.

And now I am featured in the online magazine ArtseesDiner which has me in its Open Mic Night section - you can see here http://artseesdiner.com/OpenMicNight.html
I hope you will listen to my music and enjoy it especially 'Can't Leave You Alone' which got as high as 7 in the blues chart and as this was my first ever release that was very exciting indeed!
Many more released tracks have followed and all have been well received by fans and fellow musicians alike. I owe thanks to all of them and of course to the many broadcasters who continue to support me in 121 countries around the world, notably all the lovely people named up above.
Work on my first ever album is now finished and it remains to get everything in place for the release in the USA in Nov 2009. This is an awesome event for me and one I've waited for a long, long time. Again many thanks to radio people for all their encouragement, love and support in helping me to bring this to a conclusion.

I'm a musician first and foremost, playing piano (originally classical) and some other instruments but I have been writing songs for a long time and I love to sing my version of the blues
The best moments of all are when I hear a new song in my head and the lyrics sit perfectly with the music - lyrics are just as important to me - although I love to do instrumental work too
All my tracks are initially just me and the only things that get added are live drums and bass usually, plus occasionally some guitar.
Harmonica, mandolin and clarinet masquerading as sax are all played by me, in addition to the piano of course, and when I write a song I know exactly how it should be arranged and what instruments should go where. Getting it all to sound like it sounded in my head is the hard part - music is a tyrant and a lover as all creative musicians will know well
So far so good but I have a long way to go yet and being a solo musician playing most of the instruments is okay in the studio but not really very useful for gigs!! And of course these days we all have to be able to record as well as write, play and sing! I only use wav. files with no software to tweak anything - a bit purist but I take advice from people more expert than me to try and achieve a polished end result.
that's it!
it's all just gonna be so good........................
