Tiana is a talented and driven singer/songwriter based out of Orange County, CA. With over 8,000 online sales/downloads, Tiana's music is catching on! Packing in coffeehouses, restaurants and colleges, Tiana's fan base and buzz continues to grow.
About
When people ask Tiana where she is from, she smiles and says, "Everywhere." Because of her father's job growing up, Tiana has moved over 25 times and lived in six different states, Canada, and Ukraine. These moves have inspired Tiana to love many different places and people, which is reflected in Tiana’s writing and voice. From the pop of Los Angeles to the blues of New Orleans, Tiana’s music and life spans many different cultures and blends them into one soulful folk/rock singer/songwriter- Tiana Star.
After graduating from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Tiana moved out to Southern California and settled in Seal Beach, CA. Tiana says, “I drove all the way across the country, I’m going to live by the ocean!” Music Connection Magazine had this to say about Tiana, “Tiana Star not only has the ability to conceive catchy melodies, she also translates them perfectly through her instrument. Star’s voice is a cross between the power-pop abilities of Kelly Clarkson and the delicate control of Natalie Merchant. Additionally, she conveys a mastery of her instruments through the ease and confidence with which she plays. Her voice is crisp and controlled and her abilities on guitar and piano make for an entertaining and memorable live show.”
Tiana just released her second full length album, “Star”, through her very own independent label, Coffee Shop Girl Records. Tiana’s “Star” album has had wonderful reviews and sales through I-tunes and live performances. Tiana was the featured artist on Fullerton’s 90.1 KBPK’s “New Notes” and three of her songs from “Star” were featured and are now on rotation.
You can hear Tiana and her band (Chelbie- BG Voice and Glenn-Percussion/Guitar) all around the SoCal area at different colleges, coffee shops, restaurants and other fun places! Tiana works hard at every gig to put on an amazing show and grow her fan base. When fans hear Tiana they often compare her to Sarah McLachlan, Feist, Ingrid Michaelson and other groundbreaking artists, yet Tiana blends her influences in a way all her own.
Tiana’s long term goal and passion is to not only be able support herself financially through her singer/songwriter career (songwriting, album sales, touring, etc), but to help others also. Tiana is an advocate of InvisibleChildren.com and her passion is to help orphans and the needy of this world through her music and money from her music sales.
