Thru the Static is a 3-piece all-original alternative/rock band from the Minneapolis, MN area.

In August 2003, Thru the Static released their first album, 'Pictures of Ashes' locally. Shortly after the release, the band lost a guitarist which enabled them to experiment with interesting vocal harmonies while also forcing them to create a new sound with only one guitarist.

It was time for a fresh sound and a fresh start.

With the addition of experienced drummer TJ Kammer, the band was poised for a major breakthrough in the Midwest music scene.
The band began feverishly writing more material for their 2007 sophomore album "How the Story Goes".

Their first performance in 2006 with the new line-up was one of the best return shows the Twin Cities has seen in recent memory. Since that first show, Thru the Static has been playing larger venues and selling merchandise at an unbelievable pace. With a street team in 10 different cities, the word of Thru the Static is everywhere and the crowds continue to grow....

Mixing powerful guitar riffs and compelling lyrics along with jaw dropping live shows, the band has built a large and extremely loyal fan base in the Midwest.  With the release of their first full length album in January 2007, Thru the Static is now focused on an exciting new year which will include extensive touring, a new website and more merchandise.
