thisfamiliarsmile are an emo rock band from Glasgow, UK. Their music is full of irregular timings, complex structures and yet manages to be cohesive and melodic. They make emotive music reminiscent of a more accessible mid-late 90’s emo(Sunny Day Real Estate, Get Up Kids) mixed with elements of post-hardcore.

The band formed in 2005 and shortly after featured on Fierce Panda records with their track 'Plagiarism is the New Theft' appearing on their ‘Glowing Underground’ 7 inch release.
