Montreal acoustic quartet You and Me openly share their world as seen by the two founding members - and lovers in life - Shawn Donnelly and Sandra J.. Joined by multi-instrumentalist/bassist Danny Roy and Edmund Lam on classical guitar, they deliver their most intimate material yet. Through acoustic instrumentation and rich vocal harmonies, the desired simplicity of the songs tug at the heartstrings in an innocent yet profound way. Most noted among their influences are Elliott Smith, Iron and Wine and Belle and Sebastian.
In 2007 the band released their frist album, an entirely self produced effort, "The Romantic and the Realist."
The song Head Noise Pollution was then chosen for the 2 disc compilation Quebec Emergent 2007 (SOPREF/Local) and also earned the band 250$ to spend at Archambault when they won second place in the Bluetracks Demo Competition.
With their songs being played on CBC Radio 3 and a spot in this years first ever Windsor International Fringe Festival, the collective are slowly making themselves known to audiences around the world.
