Bio
Having grown too big for their hometown of Aberdeen, impossibly young Scottish three-piece The Xcerts relocated to the other end of the UK last year and found themselves in sunny Brighton.
Since then they have unleashed their intense and surprisingly mature strand of intelligent, distorted pop on audiences across the length and breadth of the UK , gathering hoards of admirers and impressing all the right people in the process.
Citing influences as varied as Idlewild, Mogwai and The Police but more frequently compared to the likes of Nirvana and The Cure, The Xcerts manage to combine clean and clever melodies with triumphant rock riffs and a keen pop sensibility.
First formed whilst still at school, the band's youthful confidence is fully expressed in their energetic live performances, which are rarely confined to the stage. With a set of arena rumbling songs and a remarkable sense of maturity, this band belies their tender years.
