Arbutus Promotion and The Cambie Nanaimo Presents: The Whiteboard Project + SYN{A}PSE + Galactic Pegasus w/For Salvation ~~~~~~~~~~ WHEN - Saturday May 11th, 2013 WHERE - The Cambie Nanaimo , 63 Victoria Cresent DOORS - 9pm COVER - $10 19+ no minors ~~~~~~~~~~ The Whiteboard Project - The Whiteboard Project took shape in late 2007. Music, being the organic entity it is found three musicians with similar musical ideals and different enough styles that it would form a whole new genera of heavy music. Paul Jacobs (vocals/ guitar) and Jeff Laird (drums) had been looking for a bass player that would finish off this musical puzzle they had been trying to put together. They found that piece in virtuosic bass player Mark O’ Halloran. Their styles fused and since there has been no stopping this progressive powerhouse. http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Whiteboard-Project/158393904181757?fref=ts SYN{A}PSE - Emerging from the sleepy oceanfront city of Victoria on the West Coast of British Columbia, SYN{A}PSE is a band hell bent on sharing their music with the world. Using a variety of musical backgrounds to their advantage, the band aims to blaze a new path in the alternative/progressive/rock scene. Stylistically, they are comparable to bands such as Thrice, Coheed and Cambria, Tool and Alexisonfire. With the help of creative chord voicings, dramatic use of dynamics, and soaring melody lines each song reaches out to the listener and brings them along for the ride. www.facebook.com/soundofsynapse Galactic Pegasus w/For Salvation - Hailing from BC, Canada GALACTIC PEGASUS started out as the solo project of Andrew Baena in 2011. Since then the band has built a built a loyal following via Youtube videos such as the tongue-in-cheek ‘How To Get Signed To Rise Records’ (viewed an impressive 430,000 times and counting!), covers of mainstream artists like SKRILLEX, and original tracks. For Salvation - Saving the world from Pop music, One cover at a time! www.facebook.com/galacticpegasus?fref=ts http://www.facebook.com/4Salvation?fref=ts ~~~~~~~~~~ !Come Out And Support Local Music!
