The Sturdy Beggars are opening for California's premier Celtic rock band Tempest. The Reno News & Review's popular summer music series celebrates its 15th year of free concerts with another outstanding lineup of local, regional and nationally recognized artists. Taking place in downtown Reno's picturesque Wingfield Park Amphitheater on the Truckee River, Rollin' on the River has featured over 150 artists, including Todd Snider, Booker T. Jones, Crash Test Dummies, Norton Buffalo and Michelle Shocked. Festival-style seating on the grass. Food and beverages available. The Sturdy Beggars are opening for and collaborating with The Reno Irish Dance Company starting at 6:30. Starting at 7:30, the RIDC will perform their 13th Annual production of "A Celtic Summer's Eve". It is a wonderful family-style entertaining event, presenting a variety of beautiful Celtic song, dance and music featuring the lyrical soft shoe reels and the dynamic hard shoe rhythms of the Reno Irish Dance Company.
