Curt Yagi will be kicking of the evening party at 6 pm during Happy Hour. Even though we aren't going to start charging for admission until 8 pm, we will be passing around a tip jar as payment for Curt's performance so PLEASE BE GENEROUS. We are excited to have him so early in the evening given that he has so much going for him at the present time: "I am an award-winning musician (voted Best of the Bay Singer/Songwriter by SF Bay Guardian) out of San Francisco. In addition, Ben Fong-Torres (Google him if you don’t know who he is) loves my new album and gave me a great quote as follows “People keep comparing him to other artists, but I think he just sounds like Curt Yagi, and that is plenty good enough. This is one excellent singer and songwriter.” Entire Album Available On: www.curtyagi.com, http://curtyagi.bandcamp.com/ Facebook Fan Page: http://www.facebook.com/curtyagimusic Twitter: www.twitter.com/curtyagi At approximately 7:30 pm, someone will be coming around with a stamp pad; if, from that point on, guests would like to stay, they will need a stamp and will receive a discounted door fee of $3 dollars(as opposed to $5 starting at 8) for the entire rest of the evening. when the show starts at 8 pm, those without stamps will be asked to kindly finish their drinks and take the party elsewhere. Those of you who have paid will also receive a drink ticket good for one beer and may redeem said ticket any time after 8 pm. The "official start of the show" at 8 PM will feature 2 different and amazing "get-up-on-your-feet-and-dance" acts including The Slippery Slope and Bigelow's Treehouse. For only 5 dollars for this whole evening, partake in the most fun, completely off the wall musical compilation possible on a Tuesday night. So come catch some killer tunes, dance your butt off, and slurp down some absolutely killer cocktails from our specially designed ONE NIGHT ONLY cocktail menu created solely for this evening. THE SLIPPERY SLOPE: "The Slippery Slope is a San Francisco based ensemble dedicated to original compositions and reworkings of select cover material. Our style is fixed upon reflections on exotica, bossa nova, classic funk/soul, jazz, psychedelia beyond the scope of their punk roots. BIGELOW'S TREEHOUSE: BIOGRAPHY: Organic and bluesy rhythms mingled with rock and funk have made Bigelow’s Treehouse’s name and given its claim to fame as the self-proclaimed “fourth funkiest band in America” Years of live performance have imbued the band with the mojo to turn out energetic dance & rock and get the party nice & sweaty. Since it’s incarnation in 2008 Bigelow’s Treehouse has performed in all of the major cities of California. The band is currently recording, and plans to release a new CD just before the end of the world in 2012. Bigelow’s Treehouse was formed by Mike Bond (drums) and Andrew Balmat (guitar/vocals). After playing with some of the Bay Area’s top bassists, John Hansen joined as a permanent member. 2011 has marked the addition of Randy Johnson on saxophone. With a wealth of experience under their collective belt, the band is equally at home on large outdoor stages as on small quiet coffee shops. Recently the band has added a small horn section for larger gigs. The Slippery Slope will be our opener and will play for an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes, and will be followed by Bigelow's Treehouse. He will be selling select pieces and creating pieces that specifically portray the evening.
