The Shock Projekt – Bandinfo
The Shock Projekt sind neu, sind aufregend, sind frisch. Und das, obwohl die einzelnen Mitglieder eigentlich schon „alte Hasen“ im Musikgeschäft sind und lange Jahre bei diversen Bands mitgewirkt haben. Diese Zeiten haben ihre Spuren hinterlassen aber jetzt wurde es Zeit neue Wege zu gehen!
The Shock Projekt das ist gereifte, erwachsene Musik, die sich irgendwo im Spannungsfeld von guten altem Gothicrock, melodisch düsterem Wave, progessiven Indie und emotionalen Alternative bewegt. Treibende Drums und ein dominanter Bass bilden das Grundgerüst, auf dem sich flirrende Gitarren und sphärische Keyboards aufbauen. Gekrönt wird das Ganze durch den melodischen, emotionalen Gesang.

The Shock Project are new, are exciting, are fresh - even though each member is actually an old stager with a long-time experience performing with other different bands in the past. This period surely has left its marks, but now it is time to strike a new path.
The Shock Project are certainly not a new "Teenage-Casting-Band" only setting high value on their style just to bring girlies to making go-go eyes at them.
The Shock Project stands for perfected and grown-up music, placed between several genres, such as classic Gothic Rock, melodic dark Wave, progressive Indie and emotional Alternative. The framework is formed by impulsive drums and a dominant bass, combined with quivering guitars and heavenly sounds of the keyboards. The dot on the i is set by the melodic and emotional vocals.
But, to the members of The Shock Project, not only the music itself plays a decisive role. Besides creative songwriting and having the special talent for arrangements and catchy lines, the band from NRW also stand out for their ingenious minds. Their lyrics reflect the ordinary insanity, partly sarcastic, provocative and almost agonising, sometimes veiled as an allegorical social criticism.
Preparing for the international market from the beginning, the band’s songs will be released in English as well as in German. According to his own personal peferences, the listener can choose between both versions of the songs. More interested in the lyrics, the listener can decide for the version he comprehends. Preferably interested in catchy melodies and arrangements, he can choose the other version.
Unlike the nowadays already gridlocked musical entertainment, this promising concept by The Shock Project to being off the beaten track will be materialised by their upcoming online-release of their Single Debut "Charly" – bilingual, of course. The download will be available via afmusic.
