Since 1993, The Sectional has been the homespun recording experiment of Canadian musician, artist and writer Gord Phillips. A long list of occasional collaborators has resulted in hundreds of genre defying sonic experiments. Known locally for his past output and performance in bands such as Analytical Lunatics, Funky Dung, Sinadik, Roadkone, Darth Blender, Electric Lettuce, Michelle Boudreau and the Intergalactic Prophelactics, and The Gord and Barry Show, Gord has spent the last three years reclusive to the physical world while continuing to utilize The Sectional as a vehicle for self expression and artistic noodling. Occasional live performances with Roadkone are a sporadic reminder that Gord has not retired to a darkened cave, nor has he passed away, contrary to rumour.
