"Those Days is the first album from the alt-rock group, The Riot Police. Despite most of the group still being in high school, the quintet is releasing material that defies their age, and they are playing gigs around the Ottawa area regularly. Read a review of their show at Zaphod Beeblebrox over at Canculture and check back at their website for more tour dates. "

"The Riot Police may still have some growing up to do, but their sound is mature and established, making them a band to watch out for."
"Those Days is alternative power pop about life and love with explosive guitars and tons of energy. More Tragically Hip than Cold Play. That's something only a band this young -- between the ages of 15-20 -- could have the stamina to play."
The Ottawa Sun
"Ottawa alt-rock band Riot Police drew a crowd of teens and twenty-somethings early Wednesday night, playing 'love songs' as fan Catherine Tellier described them. 'If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here [at Bluesfest],' said the 16-year-old as she cut through vocals from her favourite band member, Ian Sabourin. 'We can relate to what they're singing about.'"
The Ottawa Metro
“I recently saw a local band perform an acoustic set of some songs off their album. The band is currently based in Ottawa, Ontario and goes by the name The Riot Police. I usually am not impressed with the music scene in my city (let alone my country) but The Riot Police honestly shocked me! By the middle of their first song I was singing along to what I could remember and falling truly, madly, deeply in ''music love''. I didn't know our generation was capable of producing bands. Real, honest bands. With instruments, and feel worthy lyrics, and talent. I thought we were all products of industrialization, hypersexualation and the media. Who knew! Their music is currently available on iTunes if you care to take a look (you should) and I will definitely be picking up a copy of their album. I am absolutely smitten by the tune ''Losing You'' and I am so happy I recorded a few clips of them because those are my stand ins until I get the album.”
