“these guys seem to be on the more alternative side of psychobilly but that's okay it goes well together. the phantom creeps are dark,mysterious and tight knit as a band and you can hear it.at first i wasn't a huge fan of diablo's vocals but once i got to listen deeper within the album i started to dig it more cause i knew just by listening to every track that these guys are dedicated to what they're doing as a band and well his voice just fits vocally to this sound anyways.dark lyrics,deep scratchy vocals,devious slowed down tempos,kinda sounding a bit like clutch here and there although the music is mostly dedicated to the psychobilly/rockabilly realm.come get this cause it's deadly.and this album is smoking hot it will have your creeper soles on fire as well as your ears.definatley a more diverse side of psychobilly i've ever heard and well i'd definatley listen again! best songs"route 666","pretty little head","the bright side","hell to pay",and "the bottle is god".”

“Album Review [- Hide] Absolute Underground Magazine This is a pretty baddass full length debut with a psychobilly-meets-Social D sound. Tyler Brownfield's upright bass gets a mean workout over these 11 tracks. They've clearly got the genre down, with songs about drinking, misery, and I'm assuming hotrods/those Bettie Page pinup types who tore your heart/hell etc. For an independent release the sound is surprisingly well mixed or something. Really, any album with a cover featuring "a naked women on her knees with batwings and holding a snake above her head" can't be bad. -Jeff Valentine”

““It’s a mixture of rockabilly, psychobilly and punk,” Wilson said of the 11 track CD which is all original material except a cover of “Bright Side” from a little known American band called Those Poor Bastards. “Tyler (Brownfield, stand up bassist/singer) and I just finished the tracking in our top secret practice facility and took it down to Crossroads Studio for mastering,” Wilson said adding they welcomed new guitarist, Jon Vornbrock who plays with local alternative rock act, the Void, shortly after the recording was completed as they parted ways with their original guitarist, Evan Herbst, who plays on the CD. “We knew Jon through friends from the Void and Atrophy Manuscript and wanted to play with him.
