I see the chapel at the bottom of the valley
I see the watchtower up on the hill
I see the wedding party dancing out the door down there
Up here a lonely man is standing still

How can you cry
When there’s no hearts left to be broken?
Why do you stay
While your future’s slipping away?
You better fly
Don’t deny the shape of tomorrow
Sorrow is cold comfort
At the end of the day

I see Atlantis at the bottom of the ocean
I see Ulysses all lost at sea
I see the Sirens singing songs to sailor-boys
Out here the ship-wrecked souls are calling me
They’re calling me

When your heart’s already been broken?
Why do you stay
