The dogs were dozing on the lawn
The birds consorted in the trees
The rose contentedly declined
But all I saw were angry skies
All I heard were sad goodbyes
You take the sun each time you run away
Away…..

The ice-cream vendor plowed the sand
The kids cavorted in the seas
Sun-drunk lovers gaily twined
But all I heard were frightened screams
All I saw were dying dreams
The sky turns gray each time you fly away…

So, banish the clouds
Exile the rain
And give me back my summer day again.
