The Other LA / Press

“Congratulations to Local Band The Other LA for opening for Lacuna Coil, Sick Puppies, Cilver, and Eyes Set To Kill - Great Job tonight!”

“popVLTR: You've been making moves in Louisiana, how'd you get into music? The answer is different for each of the three permanent members of the group. For McKenzie Lee (bass) and Aria (vocals), pursuing music was never really an option. They are both blessed with Asperger’s which has its issues but also comes with its blessings. Music for both of these members is how they express themselves in a way that they are more comfortable. Blessed with perfect pitch, picking up an instrument was only second nature. For Devin Nunez playing guitar and music just spoke to his soul and saved his life on several occasions. After Katrina losing everything, picking up and moving to a strange place music was the only thing that kept Devin going. The discipline of organized sports only enhanced how he learned his instrument and found himself after such loss. And let’s face it McKenzie and Devin are from Louisiana and music is kind of part of the culture.”

“There are so many Louisiana music artists that put their soul into their music and unfortunately only a few of them get the opportunity to show off their talent to a wide audience. Vans Warped Tour occurs each year and provides the opportunity needed to pull in a strong following and potentially make priceless connections. Two bands that I would like to highlight are "The Other LA" and "TANDEM" both of which are from the Lafayette area in Louisiana. They are both hoping to get a top spot in the Warped Tour ranking and need your support and vote to make it happen. Check out these bands and whether they are your favorite or not, I encourage you to support our Louisiana music artists. If you know of any other Louisiana based music artists whether they are soloist, duos or full bands message on heybrayj.com and let me know. Thanks. - Bray J”

“The Other LA Joins Ipo Radio”

"Thanks for the music. It has been added and will be part of The Phoenix's Local and New Music Category that plays throughout the day every day!"
