We are known as "The Midwestern Outlaws" As of right now there are just two of us.

Richard:

I Richard am a 28 year old male, that grew up around Cummings, Kansas. I later moved to Holton, Kansas where I met my current wife.

I play the acoustic guitar. I am self taught, and been playin' for about 6 years now. I will admit, I'm not the greatest guitar player out there, but I do love to play, and I am learning everyday!

Ron:

Ron is a 32 year old male, born and raised in Holton, Kansas. He found his love in music and the bass guitar in his high school years, where he played for his high school pep band.

Ron was mostly into Rock and Blues till around his Junior, and Senior year in high school. Thats when he started to get interested into country.

Why this name?
We came up with "The Midwestern Outlaws" due to the fact not many local bands wanted much to do with us, or you could say, outlawed us from their clan... for we didn't play much of the new Rock'n Country, Rock n Roll, or Pop Country I guess some is called now. We pretty much stick to the Traditional, Classical, and Outlaw Country...

Plus we are from Kansas, and Kansas is in the midwest. Infact probably about as midwest as your gonna get.... lol

So we came up with "The Midwestern Outlaws"

Do you play live?
I (Richard) has couple times... and I must say, I loved it... Although they was for couple songs only, but I wish I could have had more chances to play live.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the Internet helps the music industry a whole lot! I mean they have the chance to go and search for artists, songwriters, composers, ect... alot easier, rather than having them show up at the studio, and sorting them out there. It's much easier to do it by the internet.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
YES!

Your influences?
I would have to say Steve Earle without a dought! I mean there are many others such as Randy Travis, Ricky Skaggs, George Strait, Vince Gill, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Bill Monroe, Steve Warner, & I can't forget the Legends of all The Carter Family!

Favorite spot?
Well I haven't traveled much, but I would have to say, There isn't any place better than home!

Equipment used:
I use a Fender Electric/Acoustic 6 string guitar, Behringer Mixer,  & Lexicon Alpha USB Desktop Recording Studio with my Dell Inspiron 1420 notebook wich I use only for that purpose only.

Ron plays a 6 string bass guitar, with amp.

Anything else...?
We want to say, We support our troops and thier families! We are behind them 100%! Keep up the good work and We wish you a safe return!
