Elevator Music and Promotions presents Horse Opera, Sally Snow, Cory Hawthorne *** http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=141713749263440 *** Sally Snow: Stephan Vien has won the affection of crowds from all over Canada with his blend of Folk/Punk/Rock. The "Searching for Slumber" EP, Vien's latest effort, has received rave reviews. It made way for a video for the albums 3rd track "Conscience, and more recently a video for the albums 2nd track "How Low". The song "How Low" has also made it as one of the top 25 ringtones of all time on myxer.com, with over 100,000 downloads. http://www.sallysnow.com/fr_home.cfm *** Cory Hawthorne: Cory Hawthorne is a BC-based guitarist, singer and songwriter. Born in Winnipeg, he moved to BC at a young age and spent his formative years honing his guitar skills in the heart of heavy metal in the suburbs of Burnaby and Coquitlam. A long time fixture of the Vancouver music scene, Cory’s motto has always been “any style, anywhere.” However, his first love has always been the songs of Hank Williams Sr., Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakam, The Beatles and AC/DC: “The song is what matters. If you can’t sit down with a guitar and sing the song for someone, if the melody and chorus aren’t strong enough, then to me it’s just not ready. If you have a good, honest song to begin with and you add some killer musicians into the mix, well then, you have something special.” http://www.coryhawthorne.com/ *** Horse Opera: Horse Opera is a Vancouver-based Alternative Country band, whose members are veterans of the club scenes in various cities. Horse Opera's style mixes original rock and country tunes with covers by artists like Bruce Springsteen, Jackie DeShannon, and Delbert McClinton. Influences range from Bruce Springsteen and The Rolling Stones, to Blue Rodeo, Neil Young, Maria McKee and The Ramones. http://www.reverbnation.com/horseoperaband *** Elevator Music and Promotions http://empromo.com/index.php
