MalaniKai is a 10-year veteran of radio and a lifelong sports guru. She grew up in Troy, NY and attended one of the most prestigious prep schools in the country, The Redemption Christian Academy. RCA is the same school were Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom and Houston Rocket Mike James attended. It was here she excelled both on and off the basketball court. By the time she graduated, she was a 3-time honoree of Who's Who Among American High School Students and the Academy's all time leading scorer, racking up more than 3400 points and scoring over 50 points on numerous occasions. MalaniKai crushed many tournament scoring records across the country that still stand to this day.

In 2001 MalaniKai left NY for Atlanta to work as a Radio News Anchor. Since then she has been the lead host for various programs as she continues to mentor student-athletes. She has also worked with Turner Broadcasting tackling the behind the scenes operations of television. Her talents have taken her outside of America to Japan, Italy, Africa, England, and Switzerland.
