THE LAKE EFFECT
After four years of success in the band known as White Noise, the founding members, Rob, Elliot, and Darryl Glotfelty, have started a new project bringing a more upbeat, livelier rock sound to the local music scene. We now welcome David Valenta to the mix on drums.
Drawing from Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix to Weezer and the Foo Fighters, The Lake Effect brings a fresh new sound that is enjoyable to a wide array of musical tastes. With an entertaining live show, they have become a well known name in Western Maryland and will soon be the hot ticket in the Baltimore area.
The Lake Effect (previously known as White Noise) has played at some of Baltimore's premier music venues including The 8x10, Rams Head Live, and The Recher Theatre and have opened for the nationally touring band Flickerstick.
The Lake Effect has also played extensively in Western Maryland at Wisp Ski Resort, The Boardwalk bar and Grille, Rocky Gap State Park, Cumberland's 'Friday After Five' Concert Series, Grantsville Days Festival, plus many others.
