If you are looking for someone with the raw talent, energy, and charisma to command even the toughest crowd, then you are looking for Justin Fobes. Hailing from Destin, Florida, Justin has been playing guitar since he was 9 years old, and while other kids were learning the popular songs of the day, Justin was already crafting his own, so that by the age of 15, he had written a few hundred full length songs, and, by 18, was regularly playing at restaurants and events all along the Gulf Coast. After his years of touring the southeastern United States, and U.S. Virgin Islands, opening for such acts as the Counting Crows, Live, and Don Henley, as well as performing up to 337 shows a year, and, all the while logging thousands of live and shows and recording sessions, Justin Fobes now resides in Daphne, AL, playing several nights a week, in the numerous local venues. While he's not busy with his duties as a rock star, Justin usually divides his time reading from his favorite ‘desert island’ book, Joseph Campbell’s, The Hero With a Thousand Faces, and spending focused quality time with his 8 year old son, Reese, who lives in Fairhope, AL. To put a descriptive label on Justin's music would be unfairly limiting as Justin is a singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist, and bandleader who blends Folk with Rock and Blues with Pop, Country and Western with Jazz and Bop. To date, Justin has released four full length albums of his own and is currently working on a fifth project, due to be released in 2010. He has written, or co-written, several hundred songs, and his impressive guitar playing and powerful vocals merge to create a truly unique sound that McDaniel Wyatt of Skyscraper Magazine said "[has] echoes of Jeff Buckley's ambience, Rufus Wainwright's sincerity, and Peter Yorn's powerful delivery". The Justin Fobes Band has always been known for it's experienced professionalism and top shelf talent, and forever with an emphasis on reliability (and Fun...).
