We wanted to give you an update on what's happening with The Joys. It's a long one, but a good read!
Shows & Tours: Lots of great shows this summer check out our tour page: www.thejoys.ca/tour.php . We'll also be doing another national tour this fall. One of the bigger shows we have this summer is at the 1000 Islands Music Fest (near Kingston, ON) www.1000islandsmusicfest.com . We'll be playing with Akon, Simple Plan, The Arkells, Plain White T's and about 25 other bands. Radio: We have released a new single to radio, 'Keep Tryin To Try'. Sarnia has been the first to start playing it (thanks guys!). Please help us by requesting it at your local radio station.
Live CD: We will be releasing a new Live CD in the next few months. 'The Joys - On The Stage and Off The Floor' is a collection of 3 phases of The Joys. A live recording of a Joys' show, a live recording of The Joys in-studio, and a live recording of the early demos of two songs from 'Unfold'. We hope you will enjoy this CD in all its glory: Magical, sometimes imperfect, and real.
Video: For those of you in Ontario, next time you're in Pizza Pizza keep an eye out for our video 'Storm'. It's being played on all their in-house video screens. If you haven't seen it yet - www.youtube.com/thejoys1
Recording: We will be starting to record our new album this fall with producer Dale Penner (Nickelback, Holly McNarland, Econoline Crush, Matthew Good). Most of it will be done this fall in Winnipeg and we'll be aiming for a Spring 2010 release.
