Bio

Members Cuddy (vocals) Bob (Guitarist/Vocals) and Ferbus (bass) have spent their whole existence as a band doing everything but slowing down with a new 12 song melodic street punk full length album finally released and a plethora of touring in the near future. Having spent the majority of their time out on the road, most of the album "I Think Its About Time..." was written in vans, back rooms, and random strangers houses along the way.

About

Out of the saturated Detroit punk music scene...there is a band that comes out swinging providing an energetic and interactive live show with no barrier between the band and audience.

Since their inception in 2006 The HandMe Downs have been one of the busiest bands in Detroit touring, writing, recording and blazing a trail of adrenaline filled live shows across the U.S. While supporting such bands as The Misfits, US Bombs, The Casualties, Time Again, The Queers, Flatfoot 56, and The Koffin Kats.

"The HandMe Downs are armed with three chords and the truth with finger pistols pointed at Lars Fredericksen and Joe Strummer" (Metro Times Detroit)

Having spent the majority of their time out on the road, most of the album "I Think Its About Time..." was written in vans, back rooms, and random strangers houses along the way.

The debut album is packed with fist-pumping sing along punk in the vein of Rancid and The Bouncing Souls, with a bass driven power chord frenzy recalling the mid 90's punk revival. The albums title comes from the song "My Mind" which has become a crowd favorite to hop on stage and commandeer the mic.

While most bands these days stay put in their hometown, The HandMe Downs are out to win the hearts of punk rock fans everywhere who feel their sound is gone.
