“An easy rock swagger characterises The Founders Of, who have a stage presence which is instantly infectious. They have a sound which is beat driven, intricate guitar being woven carefully into the mix, but in a way which doesn’t affect the driving momentum which characterises each track. The lead singer is a conductor of his own orchestra, leading them onwards, pied piper like, as the musicians snap at his heels. There’s the impression of him having to run to keep just ahead, lending enormous energy to each track”

“TFO (aka The Founders Of) were the next band to grace the stage with their brand of ‘Jump Rock’, the first of the two bands to bring a large group of followers with them (the other being ZenthetiX). Their performance was decent and they certainly know how to work the crowd well, the set was full of bouncy and fun rock songs and they showed enough to see why they made the Semi. TFO were also the band i had ear marked as the 2nd probable band to progress due to the large following and the competance of their performance.”

“TFO are a different style to that of Toxic Shock and indeed Hairforce 5, which made me wonder if they would stick out like a sore thumb (I have heard from other people they are more of an indie band than metal) but they were also really good. Their set I thought meshed a number of different styles together including indie, rock and ska. Again, their songs were very catchy, and their homage to the Jungle Book was quite unexpected, but very enjoyable. I also hope to see them live again.”

“This is the third time I’ve seen these guys and they have improved a lot. Still not my bag, but very tight and energetic. They had that poppy ska sound that doesn’t use trumpets, with moments of Radio 1 rock slid in to please the average punter. And it worked; the crowd got going and were shouting for an encore by the end of the set. It was pretty obvious that most of the people there were TFO fans, and it wasn’t just the phalanx of TFO t shirts that gave this away. ”

“The Founders Of blasted into their set with a fast paced, packed version of ‘Johnny B Goode’. The energetic opening was maintained for a tune of their own, (which I thought was a cover … twice) ‘Search and Destroy’, a fantastic, dirty, sleazy, stroppy rock song. The rock vibe continued in the next song, this time taking it on a Brit Popish wander, a confident swagger seeping into the vocals and the music blasting from the stage, punctuated by an squidgy instrumental which expanded back into rock beats.
