Bio
Born in Plymouth, Devon. Grew up in Hong Kong, England, Spain and Italy. Lived and worked in Chile, Mexico, China and Barbados, where I currently reside, teaching English language and music production.
The FDL's formed in Spain and comprise Harry, Marnie, Rocky the cat, Elena, Martinho and anybody else who happens to be around.

The Fairly Dark Lords are a collective that formed from MacFeck to create a bit of electronica on the side. The name is a reference to the endlessly multiplying 'Dark Lords' that seem to be everywhere nowadays, though our take on it is relatively benign. Our so-called 'Princes of Murk' still like picnics and home-made jam and argue shrilly about lists of the Top Ten Evil Things etc. etc.
We started out in the MacFeck bus/home in Galicia in the summer of 2005. These early pieces include 'Felony 91', 'Fairly Dark Lords Picnic', 'Spaace!' (a personal favourite featuring Rocky the cat crunching his biscuits) and our ever popular take on cheesy dance music, DJ Poopenpants, who can sometimes still be spotted in clubs today.
Here I've posted mostly my solo stuff (pretty light and fluffy and barely evil at all), produced simply on Garageband, mostly using copy-right free samples (e.g. from Freesound and Loopmasters and Computer Music Magazine sample collections), synth parts I write and recordings off my MicroKorg.
More recently I have moved on to using Logic. I still like using loops, but am working more on my own stuff from the ground up.
Other tracks are by Harry Price, maestro of MacFeck. His tend to be a lot crazier and better produced than mine, but I'm catching up and soon I shall be lord of all...
